next

Been making sketches for the next one in this 'Hum of History' series and trying to move things along. A little bitty just yet, but I wanted to take it to more of a city setting - less mountain and sea - away from Cape Town really - ha!
So far I prefer the first one (composition-wise) On the second, I spent far too much time working on the pool and there wasn't room for the side-stories. But anyhow - no pool or mountain in this one. Maybe I'll bring that nice green light back though *guffaw* And at least the rabbit's found a place to sit.

near by is this a sketch you made on the big paper and then you colour over it, or is it on a little bit of paper and then you copy it?

Pot this is a tiny sketch on A4. I usually do a few and use theem to try and work out where everything goes before moving on to the big one

Right, got you. Do you plan the colours before, too?

No, colour is more down to instinct - seeing what works...

and the lines can change quite a bit too
